Multi-company operations / delivery case study

GroupOps

A documented newsroom workflow within a broader, mixed-maturity agent architecture.

The business problem

Running several companies creates repeated coordination work across customer communication, publishing, logistics and finance.

My contribution

My role covered workflow definition, architecture, direction of AI-assisted implementation, service integration, testing and deployment. Platform and library authorship belongs to the third parties credited below; additional collaborators are not identified in the public project notes.

OpenClaw and other agent runtimes are existing platforms. Agent definitions and configured integrations are distinct from runtime authorship.

Architecture & boundaries

Company-isolated pods, specialised agents, persona and memory, scheduled heartbeats, an OpenClaw bridge, and an L0–L4 autonomy ladder. Approval gates and audit trails govern outbound actions.

Labelled architecture overview, reconstructed from project documentation. This is not a production trace.

Failure paths & design decisions

An agent definition is not evidence of a reliably operating agent.

Distinguish configuration, experimental pods and documented workflows.

Evidence boundary: No headline agent-count metric is used to imply adoption.

Outbound action needs a clear authority boundary.

The architecture describes L0–L4 autonomy levels, approval gates and audit trails.

Evidence boundary: A real execution trace, approval event and recovery log are not published.

Delivery record

Status
Mixed maturity: Gemer Times is the documented newsroom workflow; other company pods are configured, scaffolded or experimental.
Users & scope
Multi-company orchestration, with a newsroom as the concrete workflow described in the records.
Dates & usage
The former portfolio lists 2025 onward; no current deployment inventory is published.

Results & measurement gaps

A shared operating model across company pods. Gemer Times is the documented newsroom workflow; other pods vary in maturity and no current reconciled operating-agent inventory is published.

Older materials variously mention 40+, 70+ and 76. These refer to different or unspecified scopes of definitions, agents and artifacts; no reconciled inventory is available. They are not presented as a current operating count.
